List of advanced techniques

A list of advanced techniques used on each worksheet is produced by the AutoDocumentation List advanced techniques command. The list is on sheet X~Techniques. If it exists, the list of sheets on sheet X~Sheets will be updated when this command is run.

The contents of the list are as follows:

Sheet
The name of the worksheet.
Pivot table
The number of pivot tables on the sheet
Data table
Whether the sheet contains a Data Table (created using the Data > Table... command).
Array formula
Whether there's an array formula on the sheet.
Solver
Whether the sheet uses the Solver.
Database functions
Whether the sheet contains any database functions (functions such as DSUM, DAVERAGE, etc, that use criterion ranges).
Filtering
Whether there is any active filtering on the sheet. This will be TRUE if any rows are hidden because of filtering, or if advanced filtering into another location is used.
Indirect addressing
Whether the sheet uses the INDIRECT() or ADDRESS() functions.
Scenarios
The number of scenarios (created using the Tools > Scenarios... command) on the sheet.
External queries
The number of external queries (created using the Data > Import External Data command) on the sheet.
Total
The number of advanced techniques used on the sheet.

Updating the list

The list of advanced techniques can be updated at any time by using the command XLSior > AutoDocument > List advanced techniques.

Sorting the list

The order in which the links appear in the list is determined by your user and workbook preferences.
