List of advanced techniques
A list of advanced techniques used on each worksheet is produced by the AutoDocumentation List advanced techniques command. The list is on sheet X~Techniques. If it exists, the list of sheets on sheet X~Sheets will be updated when this command is run.
The contents of the list are as follows:
- Sheet
- The name of the worksheet.
- Pivot table
- The number of pivot tables on the sheet
- Data table
- Whether the sheet contains a Data Table (created using the Data > Table... command).
- Array formula
- Whether there's an array formula on the sheet.
- Solver
- Whether the sheet uses the Solver.
- Database functions
- Whether the sheet contains any database functions (functions such as DSUM, DAVERAGE, etc, that use criterion ranges).
- Filtering
- Whether there is any active filtering on the sheet. This will be TRUE if any rows are hidden because of filtering, or if advanced filtering into another location is used.
- Indirect addressing
- Whether the sheet uses the INDIRECT() or ADDRESS() functions.
- Scenarios
- The number of scenarios (created using the Tools > Scenarios... command) on the sheet.
- External queries
- The number of external queries (created using the Data > Import External Data command) on the sheet.
- Total
- The number of advanced techniques used on the sheet.
Updating the list
The list of advanced techniques can be updated at any time by using the command XLSior > AutoDocument > List advanced techniques.
Sorting the list
The order in which the links appear in the list is determined by your user and workbook preferences.
