Print Footer
XLSior allows you to use a standard footer when you print. The standard footer contains the following information:
- Full filename (including path) and sheet name on the left
- Date, time and page number on the right
In Excel footers are applied to individual sheets, not to the whole workbook. The XLSior footer, if it is used, will overwrite any existing footers on the sheets to which it is applied. The new footer becomes permanent for those sheets. If the workbook is used by someone who does not have XLSior installed, all information in the footer will still be updated automatically with the exception of the full filename (however, this will be updated in Excel 2002). This can lead to confusion if the workbook is saved under another name or in a different place.
If you are printing with a portrait layout, and the full filename is very long, the two parts of the footer may overlap.
You can use user or workbook preferences to use the XLSior footer automatically whenever a sheet is printed. Alternatively, you can add it to the current sheet by using the XLSior > Document > Add Footer command.
You can remove the footer from the current sheet by using the XLSior > Document > Remove Footer command. This removes any footer from the sheet, whether it is the XLSior footer or another one.
